“She is one woman, one guitar, and no gimmicks…
she is one of THE most important artists on the scene in years,
and one to watch closely for years to come.
And, for guitarists, one to study closely…”

Diana takes listeners on a journey over the past century discussing and performing the styles of strong, and sometimes overlooked, female guitarists.  This interactive + visual workshop covers the social and economic injustices of the time, along with the history of music and how each decade's style influenced the next. Artists covered range from Elizabeth Cotten, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Odetta, Joni Mitchell, Joan Jett to Ani DiFranco, KT Tunstall and more!

Tips to playing "Big Love"

"Diana has been an amazing guitar teacher and mentor. She gave me easy to follow instruction on develping and enhancing technique. I am a new local folk musician and Diana helped me to develop prper stage presence as well as mentor me on basic music management. Diana also helped me to add dynamic and inflection in my original songs. She is professional and personable. I highly recommend her as a guitar teacher for all ages and skill level."

“Diana is the whole package when considering an accomplished instructor for any individual thinking of learning guitar. She is patient and takes the time necessary to make students feel comfortable with the material being covered. By taking time to get to know her students, she is able to make lessons exciting by bringing in music that the student is interested in learning. Our daughter started taking lessons in January 2014 and has become quite a competent musician.”
